Anthony James is an educator, facilitator, strategist, writer, speaker and musician. He is Executive Director of the Understandascope and a postgraduate educator at Swinburne University.
Anthony has featured on national TV and radio, and is a regular speaker at conferences, festivals and organisations. He was founding Editor of the Journal of Swinburne University’s National Centre for Sustainability, co-editor of ‘Everyday Transcendence, a book on Australia’s Inaugural Environmental Educator of the Year, the late Professor Frank Fisher, and his writing has appeared in publications including The Conversation, Arena Magazine, Eureka Street, and The Footy Almanac.
His involvement has spanned a range of industries including education, health, international and community development, IT, media, music, fashion, retail, manufacturing and construction, particularly in Australia, Central America and India (winning a Prime Ministerial Award for service to the international community).
His qualifications include a Master of International and Community Development from Deakin University, a Graduate Certificate in Sustainability from Swinburne University of Technology, and a Bachelor of Business Systems from Monash University.
