Dan Goldberg has produced and directed documentaries screened here and overseas, including the 2014 Walkley Award winner Code of Silence (ABC), about the child sex abuse scandal; Brilliant Creatures (ABC & BBC), which was nominated for an AACTA and a Logie award in 2015; Pitch Battle (ABC), a documentary on the Palestinian football team’s maiden visit to Australia, which won a New York Festival of Film & TV award in 2016; and Bushwhacked!, a 39-part kids series celebrating Indigenous culture, which won several awards – including the 2014 Asian Kids TV Program of the Year – and was aired in over 40 countries.
In 2017, Dan directed The Archibald, a four-part series on Australia’s most controversial arts prize, and produced The Haka, a documentary about the greatest pre-match ritual in world sport. As a journalist, Dan is drawn to stories that spotlight important social issues or give voice to the voiceless.
