TFF Ambassador 2018, and energy expert
Adam’s work focuses on the business, policy, and communication pathways to an aspirational low carbon future. He works on how clean energy entrepreneurship can be scaled up, how communications can assist business in combating climate change, and how mobile technologies can make communities more resilient in developing countries. He is one of the winners of the 2016 Top 5 Under 40 Australian Broadcasting Corporation competition to find talented science communicators, and one of their 2016 Scientists in Residence.
Adam started his career in corporate advertising for climate solutions, hosted the first Climate Change TV series for the UN climate meetings, and has produced film, radio, and TV media across the world to promote solutions to climate change. He co-founded the sustainable development communications agency, Apidae, in 2012, with clients including the UN, World Bank, and the ABC. He is also a voiceover artist, helping promote clean energy technologies, and pretending to be Zayn Mallik on the Hamish and Andy show.
Adam has a Doctorate in Geography and the Environment from the University of Oxford, a Masters in Globalisation from the University of London, and started his studies in Ecology and evolutionary biology, where he was allowed to write a thesis on how humans use dancing to find a mate in a nightclub.
