Speaking@ Operation Jeedara
Jen began her journey with the South Australian chapter of Sea Shepherd in 2015 by attending the marine debris beach clean-ups along Adelaide’s coastlines.
It wasn’t long till she joined as an on-shore volunteer and helping out on merchandise tents whilst developing her knowledge surrounding the many local and global campaigns of Sea Shepherd. With a natural skill and strength of communication, she joined the education team and has delivered talks to primary schools, scouts and families at SA’s Whale Centre in Victor Harbour.
Jen was identified as a strong advocate for the Operation Jeedara campaign and named the chapter’s liaison for the Great Australian Bight Alliance in 2017.
Her passion and dedication to bringing awareness and education to varied community groups on a number of environmental issues has been evidence that any individual has the ability to make a change to lessen their impact on this planet.
