Julian O’Shea is a social entrepreneur and humanitarian engineer who is the Founder and CEO of Unbound, an innovative education organisation that leads sustainability and impact focussed learning journeys across the Asia Pacific.
Julian has a passion for sustainable transport and has set multiple Guinness World Records for low-emission journeys including a 4,800km rail journey across China, and the fastest no-flight trip from the southern-most point of Europe to the northern-most point.
He was the Expedition Leader of the SolarTuk Expedition – a sustainability and outreach journey across Australia in a solar-powered tuk tuk. Travelling at just 50km/hr, this zero-emission road trip that had dozens of media appearances and directly engaged thousands of students and community members across the country.
He lives in Melbourne and loves coffee, gin and standup comedy. He is doing his debut Melbourne International Comedy Festival show this year – You Can Do Anything – (March 24 – 4 April) that includes his SolarTuk journey.
