Tim Angus joined Grimshaw in early 2016 and is an Associate in the Melbourne studio.
He is passionate about beautiful and sustainable architecture, and brings to the practice over twenty years of experience, gained in both Australia and the UK.
Tim works across all typologies with significant expertise in housing and mixed-use developments. Specialising in passive design and biomimicry, his approach is to devise clever and elegant design solutions that balance commercial viability with architecture that is better for both people and our planet.
Tim has played a lead design role in projects such as the Yarra Valley Country Club Housing Development, ‘The Peak’ tiny house for Kids Under Cover and the Victorian Government Public Housing Renewal program. He is spearheading proposals for net positive mixed use concepts in the Melbourne studio, and is a leader of the internal Grimshaw Climate Emergency Taskforce.
Tim holds a Master of Sustainable Practice and is currently undertaking a PhD in biomimetic building forms at RMIT University.
