Speaking @ Albatross
Giselle is a creative change agent, social innovator and self-confessed serial founder with numerous achievements and quite a story to tell. Along the way she has co-created many things including, in 1999, the Sustainable Living Foundation and the Festival.
As its president Giselle has had a hand on the rudder steering SLF into the brave, collaborative and visionary organisation it is today.
She sees her key role as holding the flame and strengthening the message; that we must accelerate the uptake of sustainable living and restore safe climate conditions as fast as humanly possible.
For the past 8 years Giselle has been documenting her own lived experience looking at the triggers, enablers and hurdles to personal engagement on reversing global warming.
‘Looking the Tiger in the Eye’ of Earth’s trajectory of temperature rise required courage. Meeting Chris Jordan at the Festival in 2014 helped her to understand the crucial difference between grief and despair and to continue her work.
